Peter Pateman has his Kanga DA-824 to thank for his mobility, and possibly his life, after its operator-focused safety design saved him from being crushed between his machine and truck.  Peter, of Pateman and Sons, works with his son as a subcontract paver and landscaper.  When cleaning up a work site that they had been working on, Peter was shuffling bins back and forth when he went back a little further than he’d realised, reversing into his truck. Being pinned between the truck’s tray and his machine could well have presented a life threatening situation, but due to the safety design of Kanga Loaders which uses the machine’s frame and fuel tanks to encapsulate the operator, protecting the operator from incidents such as these.
